Cedar Grove

Our Cedar Grove experience exceeded all expectations and offered us a bonding with nature. We felt surrounded by the beauty and peacefulness of Nature. The serenity we felt was a gift to be cherished and remembered. Oh if only we could awaken each morning to the cabins’ fresh cedar scent, the tranquility of the trees around us-welcoming us from the skylight above the bed, the sitting room area views from the “roof to the woods” (glass ceiling) and forest views from the cabins picture windows across the sitting area. Every angle in the bath offered views of Nature—from the shower, the Jacuzzi bay window the backdoor And oh the hot tub, under a canopy of glittering stars and tranquil trees –oh-oh!!! If only we could take back with us a tree or two!

I give Cedar Grove the award for most romantic cabin. My reasons are 1) The bathroom is almost the same size as the rest of the house. 2) You can’t really see or hear anything but the wind in the trees. 3) The deck is well designed with multi levels and a hot tub, 4)the wall and ceiling “greenhouse window 5) the feather comforter, not to mention all the cedar! - Audry and Bill

This is the most dear place we have ever stayed. We slept like logs, and soaked like seaweed. The triangle of cedars around the hot tub provided particular nourishment, while the dreams from Rainier air provided foundations for the future. Mountain Home Log Cabin

It’s rare in life when fantasy meets reality, and that’s what happened when we stepped inside Mountain Home log cabin. Lauren and I have fantasized for years about the idyll cabin we’d build as a retreat from our everyday home. Here we found that cabin. The wood work, attention to detail (both in craftsmanship and amenities), location, fireplace, windows, skylights, furniture, linens. Not a comfort overlooked. This place rocks! Raindrops danced on the tin roof all night lulling us to sleep in our cozy log bed.  What a peaceful space.  The great mountain greeted us this morning with sunshine.  We saw a sleepy porcupine in his treetop hideaway and followed two deer tracks through the flocked trees.  Nothing is quite like a hot tub outdoors while snow cools your face in mid afternoon.  We are so relaxed and grateful for this escpae.  Nature has a way of calming your senses and easing the soul.  Thank you for making it feel like home-Beth and David.

I searched for a long time to find the "perfect" log cabin to take my handsome prince for a brithday weekend and when I stumbled across your website my heart soared.  I was so excited I couldn't keep it a secret and we waited in breathless anticipation for three months.  All of our expectations were met the second we walked in to your wonderful log cabin.  Not an item of comfort or convenience was over looked.  The amenities, furnishings, hot tub and fireplace made for a much needed intimate and romantic weekend.  Its easy to see why people choose this spot for a honeymoon.  Its ideal for fireside talks, smooching, and romance.  Thank you for your wonderful labor of love with your cabins.  We think we're going to keep this as our secret and frequent getaway spot!-Jacqui and Dan

We came from Florida to this part of the country  for the first time together.  We arrived in the blackness of night and awoke the next morning to the wonderful, lush, beautiful surroundings.  We feel as if we have been let in on an amazing and poetic little secret place.  Romantic, cozy and soothing.  We spent most of our time in the Park and as we saw other cabins and inns we felt sure this was the most perfect one to have enjoyed this visit.  We had a vision of our perfect cabin for this trip and found out it was a real place-absolutely perfect.  Thank you - Scott and Debbie

We had a great time!  The cabin: beautiful! Clean, comfortable and homey; we loved the scenery and prvacy as well.  It is set way back off the road.  Great hot tub!! The location: Awesome!  Right outside Mt Rainier National Park gave us convenient access to the park and we were able to come and go as we pleased. The scenery: Spectacular!  We loved the gorgeous forest with its tall trees and lush ferns.  The leaves were changing while we were here and it was very impressive.  Thank you for the personal touch in the cabins.  This was the best place to stay.  We hope to come back soon.-John and Anne

My boyfriend and I arrived at Maplewild on a snowy new year’s afternoon. We were very pleasantly surprised by the comforting atmosphere of this wonderful retreat, so cozy, so private. We stayed two days longer than originally planned. We were blessed with a beautiful winter wonderland with snow falling all weekend. We got about two feet of snow. On the eve of New Years eve as we sat in the hot tub sipping wine, with the snow gently falling around we looked above and watched a spectacular fireworks display above the tree line! Wow! This was a vacation that Alan and I will never forget. The next evening while we were B-B-Q-ing, two deer walked up the hill about five feet from our deck. It is so peaceful and quiet here.
