Our historical roots and family connections run deep at Mt. Rainier, an ever present icon looming on the horizon while growing up in Seattle. Janet's grandfather, Abram Liddle, bought the land during the depression and first built Deer Park Cabins at what is now Stone Creek Lodge.
During WWII he sold Deer Park cabins to Pat's uncle right before it was flooded by Kautz Creek in 1947. Grandfather Abe then moved to the hillside across the highway where he built the cabins which became Deep Forest cabins. He rented them out by the night and by the month. Later, Janet's uncle, aunt, and father, inherited the land from him, building their own cabins.

Our History
As children growing up in Seattle, both Janet and Pat made many family trips to this area. They both fell in love with the forest and moved here to live as young adults. When they finally met, they fell in love and married. They have lived here for the past 35 years. After other careers, they decided to remodel the cabins and create this business. They love running this business and offering these cabins to you as a place for romance, relaxation, and adventure.
